<![CDATA[How are tags saved? DB or directly in archive.pdf?]]>From my experiments so far it seems that tags are stored in the database. Is there any way to store them in the archive pdf so that they are "baked" into the file and can be moved elsewhere?

Was just pointing you there, as there might be more people with more insights on how tags in paperless can be used.
