not 100% sure, if I had a custom wp-config.php, but I found out, that the PHP Memory limit in wp-config still was set to 512MB, despite the container of WordPress (developer) was increased to 3 GB.</p>
<p dir="auto">Will this automatically be updated as well?</p>

PHP memory has to be tuned based on the plugins you have installed, this cannot be guessed from the memory limit directly. For example, you could have a minimal WP installation with a very high memory limit only for increasing Apache worker count.</p>
