<p dir="auto">We have made <a href="https://www.cloudron.io/" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">Cloudron.io</a> an OpenID provider.<br />
Now you can use <code>Log in with Cloudron.io</code> or <code>Register with Cloudron.io</code> in the Cloudron forum.</p>
<p dir="auto"><img src="/assets/uploads/files/1776080378735-767e1bab-7dfd-46ed-843c-8e553f39d81d-image-resized.jpeg" alt="767e1bab-7dfd-46ed-843c-8e553f39d81d-image.jpeg" class=" img-fluid img-markdown" /></p>
<h2>Account Linking Requirement - Mail Address</h2>
<p dir="auto">To automatically link your <a href="http://Cloudron.io" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">Cloudron.io</a> account to your existing forum account you will need to use the same mail address in the forum and in <a href="http://Cloudron.io" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">Cloudron.io</a>.<br />
If you do not use the same, a new forum account will be created.</p>
<p dir="auto">A good example:<br />
If my forum mail address is <code>james@cloudron.dev</code> and my <a href="http://Cloudron.io" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">Cloudron.io</a> account also uses <code>james@cloudron.dev</code> the account will be linked, and I will be logged into the <code>james</code> account in the forum.</p>
<p dir="auto">A bad example:<br />
If my forum mail address is <code>james.smith@cloudron.dev</code> and my <a href="http://Cloudron.io" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">Cloudron.io</a> account uses <code>james@cloudron.dev</code> a new forum account will be created.</p>
<h2>Benefits of using Login with <a href="http://Cloudron.io" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">Cloudron.io</a></h2>
<p dir="auto">The Cloudron Team can see your <a href="http://Cloudron.io" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">Cloudron.io</a> account details and Cloudron instance details in the forum.<br />
With this information we can evaluate issues you report much more efficient and give you an even better support experience.</p>
<p dir="auto">Examples:</p>
<ul>
<li>Cloudron subscription issue? We can see your <a href="http://Cloudron.io" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">Cloudron.io</a> details and you no longer need to write a mail to <a href="mailto:support@cloudron.io" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">support@cloudron.io</a></li>
<li>Issues with your Cloudron instance? We can see the instance details and provide a quicker response with less Q&amp;A</li>
</ul>
