It fixes our issue. For Nextcloud 15 we will give it some more time to settle, to iron out initial bugs.

I think we have to wait for the nextcloud team to get back on the bug report (I have attached a backtrace as well in the bug report which should make it easy to spot what the issue is).

While I also would like to see a nextcloud update, this is a non-argument. Nextcloud is doing maintenance releases and all security related bugfixes are backported.

Or - alternatively - offer an option to manually upgrade?

Nextcloud is heading to 15 now (beta 1 just released), and the 14 versions included a lot of security fixes as well that we don't benefit from currently.

After that things work normal. While not being very important I think, given that it works afterwards, it still gives quite a bad first time experience. Once that is fixed we will release it.
