My VPS is in Germany, and thus whenever I hit the "Today" button in Dawarich it brings me to Berlin. But, I would like a specific city in Canada to appear.</p>
<p dir="auto">I read <a href="https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/15088/how-to-use-the-rails-console">https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/15088/how-to-use-the-rails-console</a> and the last docs link to <a href="https://docs.cloudron.io/packages/dawarich/#rails-console" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">https://docs.cloudron.io/packages/dawarich/#rails-console</a>, and from there went to the cli, to /app/code/ and entered <code>app/code# export TIME_ZONE="America/Toronto"</code>, but nothing else happened to indicate it worked. I restarted the app, went to "Today" and I'm back in Berlin.</p>

I was not able to reproduce this issue.<br />
Can you try to put the app into recovery mode and starting it manually by running <code>/app/pkg/start.sh</code> from the web terminal?</p>

I deleted the export line, as I explained in the previous reply. What is it about my post that makes you ask whether I deleted the line or not?</p>
<p dir="auto">I deleted the line, as I said, and wondered if the last line needed a hard return or not, so I tried both (no new line, and a hard return) but no matter, it just doesn't start anymore. Why would editing the <a href="http://env.sh" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">env.sh</a> file have such an effect? Should I delete that <a href="http://env.sh" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">env.sh</a> file and let the app recreate it?</p>

The error does not really look related to the timezone.<br />
If you comment out that <code>export</code> line or delte it and restart the app, is the app working again?</p>

Its version is 0.1.0! So this was <em>before</em> Cloudron was offering it. I suppose that is the reason. I wonder if I should just move to the Cloudron version which is now at version Dawarich 1.12.2 - Package version 1.17.2. Thanks for pursuing this, it's helped me see that it was an older custom app.</p>

I have just installed <a class="plugin-mentions-category plugin-mentions-a" href="/category/213/dawarich" aria-label="Profile: dawarich">@<bdi>dawarich</bdi></a> two times.<br />
Once with <code>Leave user management to the app</code> and once with <code>Allow all users on this Cloudron</code> and both times the <code>/app/data/env.sh</code> was created correctly.<br />
Can you tell me what version of the <a class="plugin-mentions-category plugin-mentions-a" href="/category/213/dawarich" aria-label="Profile: dawarich">@<bdi>dawarich</bdi></a> app you are using?</p>

<p dir="auto">But, yes, I am sure. There was no <a href="http://env.sh" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">env.sh</a> file, I had to make it, and thus there also aren't any of the other values you list. I suppose it is working. Do you want to go in a check?</p>

Are you sure? Do you use a volume or anything for the <a class="plugin-mentions-category plugin-mentions-a" href="/category/213/dawarich" aria-label="Profile: dawarich">@<bdi>dawarich</bdi></a> app?<br />
Because inside the <code>/app/data/env.sh</code> should also be the <code>OTP_ENCRYPTION_PRIMARY_KEY</code>, <code>OTP_ENCRYPTION_DETERMINISTIC_KEY</code> and <code>OTP_ENCRYPTION_KEY_DERIVATION_SALT</code> and if these are missing there should be all sorts of problems.<br />
So I can't really imagine the file missing completely and even after an app restart.</p>
