I was able to connect to this calendar via macOS "Internet Accounts" using "Extended" account type and "cal.mydomain.com" as the server and "/SOGo/dav/USER/Calendar/personal/" as server path.

The issue I am having now is that the Apple calendar creates another calendar instead of syncing the existing personal calendar. It seems to work for other calendars in the account.

I would check if it works in the upstream demo first - https://www.sogo.nu/ (at the bottom there is demo link and credentials). Then, I found a (bizzare) suggestion in https://bugs.sogo.nu/view.php?id=5639 that renaming calendar to start with a capital letter makes it work. (personal -> Personal)

I am getting an error 400 from the calendar app. However, I can see the connection from the client in the SoGo logs.

First of all I have a question regarding the server address: Should I use the cloudron address, sogo address or the mailserver address (in my case not my.domain.tld but mail.domain.tld)?

Have you tried autoconfig of the server path by using Manual instead of Extended setup?
