I think Winds seems to be the best candidate if cloudron had 1 podcasting app !

Client :

Podgrab https://github.com/akhilrex/podgrab
A self-hosted tool to download latest podcast episodes as soon as they become live.

Full set :

Podsheets
Podsheets is a set of open source tools for podcast hosting, ad management, community engagement, and more.

Winds - A Beautiful Open Source RSS & Podcast App Powered by Getstream.io
https://github.com/GetStream/Winds

Homehost - self-hosted, Netflix-like app made for streaming

Divers

Dir2Cast : https://github.com/ben-xo/dir2cast
Podcats : https://github.com/jakubroztocil/podcats

it's probably going to be an interesting talk because we all have different needs, some might want a full system to produce and publish podcasts, others just want to have a simple self hosted client to subscribe and listen on the go, curious to know what is the community experience with podcasting, selfhosting and simply from a listener perspective, how do you handle your podcasts usage in the context of self-hosting and data ownership ?

For myself, I don't want to have a device bloated with audio and manage it all from my smartphone, I listen to podcasts while working or at home, so I would rather have a self hosted client to grab new podcasts episodes from subscriptions as they arrive and then listen them directly on the browser or via streaming on any device.

What's your approach ?
