That being said, from a resources prospective it does also make sense to have a different machine run just this.</p>

I also just noticed that their lite container isn’t public. Or wasn’t public last night when I tried. I guess they’re still working on it. It’s what they are using to set up their digital ocean one click app.</p>
<p dir="auto">And yeah I’m also scratching my head at the choice of not splitting it out and the use of PHP. Seems like an odd choice for any modern app when there are so many better alternatives.</p>

<p dir="auto">I just don't fully understand how to package an app that is already using a container. I know thats sort of how <a class="plugin-mentions-user plugin-mentions-a" href="/user/fbartels" aria-label="Profile: fbartels">@<bdi>fbartels</bdi></a> did his drone package,</p>
</blockquote>
<p dir="auto"><s>I am not quite sure how multiple containers come into play. Especially <a href="https://github.com/appwrite/lite" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">https://github.com/appwrite/lite</a> is a single container.</s> Ah it uses the docker socket at <a href="https://github.com/appwrite/lite/blob/a735e153f9e3e2ea76c27ea038e78d89162cd667/docker-compose.yml#L14" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">https://github.com/appwrite/lite/blob/a735e153f9e3e2ea76c27ea038e78d89162cd667/docker-compose.yml#L14</a> to start additional containers.</p>
<p dir="auto">The main difference to my Drone app is that additional runners are not actually run on Cloudron, but only the Dashboard is hosted on it and runners are running everywhere else.</p>
<p dir="auto">Apart from the odd choice to write this in php what I find difficult is that the same container that needs access to the Docker socket is also exposed to the internet. Which means someone just needs to break into the appwrite process to take over the while host. From a security perspective these two parts of the software should be separated.</p>

<p dir="auto">Would this be a roadblock with the MySQL add on <a class="plugin-mentions-user plugin-mentions-a" href="/user/girish" aria-label="Profile: girish">@<bdi>girish</bdi></a> ?</p>
<p dir="auto">EDIT: been playing with this all evening with no luck. Perhaps I just don't fully understand how to package an app that is already using a container. I know thats sort of how <a class="plugin-mentions-user plugin-mentions-a" href="/user/fbartels" aria-label="Profile: fbartels">@<bdi>fbartels</bdi></a> did his drone package, but I don't fully understand this. Anyone in <a class="plugin-mentions-group plugin-mentions-a" href="/groups/appdev" aria-label="Profile: appdev">@<bdi>appdev</bdi></a> interested in this and would like to hop in a meeting some time to get this one working?</p>
