<p dir="auto">being open source is not a requirement</p>
</blockquote>
<p dir="auto">Confirmed on their <a href="https://github.com/privacytools/privacytools.io/blob/1cdd251824e39247861b95436820f170bb672da6/.github/CONTRIBUTING.md#main" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">Contributing page</a> in GitHub where it states "Open Source / Free Software is preferred but not required."</p>
<p dir="auto">I think Cloudron meets at least 3 (the bottom ones) of the 5 "main" software criteria listed on their page:</p>
<ul>
<li>Easy to use. Could your mother use that tool or service? Usability is most important.</li>
<li>Cross-platform / Accessible.</li>
<li>Privacy respecting.</li>
<li>Open Source / Free Software is preferred but not required.</li>
<li>Prioritize Products without Vendor Lock-in (decentralized/self-hostable) or data interoperability.</li>
</ul>
<p dir="auto">There is a contradictory statement it seems though in their <a href="https://github.com/privacytools/privacytools.io/blob/1cdd251824e39247861b95436820f170bb672da6/.github/CONTRIBUTING.md#software" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow ugc">Software Criteria &gt; Software category</a>, where it then states "Must be Open Source Software", so not certain but I think it's at least worth a shot to try and list Cloudron on there. We can create a pull request for it. The worst that can happen is it be denied. <img src="https://forum.cloudron.io/assets/plugins/nodebb-plugin-emoji/emoji/android/1f937.png?v=223f9defb2f" class="not-responsive emoji emoji-android emoji--shrug" style="height:23px;width:auto;vertical-align:middle" title=":shrug:" alt="🤷" /></p>
