Install a specific version of a gem file?
How can I install a specific version of a gem file?
The problem is that for the Agile 1.6.1 plugin to work, you need "mini_portile2-2.5.0"
(May 14 09:53:44 Could not find mini_portile2-2.5.0 in any of the sources)
Following the instructions, I write in the terminal:
- cd /app/data/plugins/redmine_agile
- vi Gemfile # ensure first line is "source 'https://rubygems.org'"
2.1)I also add the desired version of the gem file "gem 'mini_portile2', '~> 2.5'"
- bundle install
But the bundle installs the latest version and not the one I need.
And I get an error while starting redmine.
UPD: If the latest version of the plugin is installed on Redmine Package Version 1.6.2 and updated to 1.7.1, then everything happens without errors and there are no problems in operation. But after restarting the application, the same problem appears.
@neluser looks like that plugin needs to be updated to use the same gem version like redmine itself is using? Maybe you can contact the upstream author about this.
This is the latest version of the plugin with Redmine 4.2 support. The problem is that I cannot install the required gem file. The package always downloads the latest version of the gem.
I will try to manually place the gem file in the required directory.
