It is required, if you build your own version of mobile apps.

If not or not in any near future, is there any Cloudron way to install it alongside with Mattermost?

Thing is one has to compile and publish their own mobile apps. This is a lot of work (and also some $ investment since the app stores require some payment from publishers). You can open a thread in the App Wishlist in any case and we can see if there is interest.
