I started Redash today and i love it! Thx for this! Unfortunately the Speed of Querying is in comparison with BigQuery not really..comparable Ok- Big Query is huge Machine.
I need for Querying on Sheet with 38k Rows (ca 804.500 cells) ca 50 seconds (BigQuery need 1,8s ) It's possible just theoretically, that Redash (or Docker) don't use more Cores? I see under Glances running just one Core.
I reserved for Redash 16gb RAM and 4 Cores. And i have some Tables with > 300k Rows...Thanks for Tips and sorry for bad english
By default, docker itself does not apply any CPU limitations. So, it could be just be an app package mis-configuration that we do not spawn any workers. Can you tell me how you are verifying that it doesn't use more cores? From a quick check, it seems that we have unicorn configured with 4 workers in the package.
@girish I checked it just with htop. Maybe is here a better way how to do it. I see 100% on one CPU. Other 3 running just about 2-5% (just system?)
I see just also just one Worker.
Docker-compose.yml show 4 Web Workers, but just one Celery Worker. Maybe can change here help
