<![CDATA[What's coming in 7.4]]>Much smaller release given the vacation time and I think we want to make more releases often. The previous one took forever!

  • Update base image for apps and addons to Ubuntu 22. This is already under way - https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/8130/docker-base-image-4-0
  • (mail) Virtual all directory in dovecot for search
  • (mail) Investigate why Spam learning/filtering sometimes does not work effectively.
  • Backup integrity - store size and checksum of backups. Also provide a way to "verify" backup integrity in the remote.
  • Backup/restore progress
  • OpenVPN/Wireguard integration
  • DoT support with client ID
  • Community repo (appstore)
  • Add optional flag for turn addon.

But we have to look into this again the next release. 7.4 is almost completely rolled out and one more patch release is coming. After that, I wil have more details on what we can do with that feature.

If so, could you please, share an estimate when exactly you believe it could happen?

And how the implementation would looks like?

Yes, I have turned off everything. Still testing different browsers though and different NextDNS setups. What is odd is that this was never an issue at all until 7.4.1 and nothing has changed on my end.

We have not been able to use our Cloudron since the update and even after a fresh install with attempting to restore, nothing, then trying full fresh install, notihng. It's like we don't have access to the AppStore at all.

Presumably you've already tried what @nebulon suggested there? i.e. try in a clean vanilla browser with no plugin/ extensions installed (I have a copy of Chrome that I only have for such purposes).

Screenshots below. Can we please have this either be 24 hour time again or else at least add AM/PM if meant to be 12-hour format? It's confusing at a glance since it's missing AM/PM tags it is presumed to be 24-hour but that's incorrect.

Unstable updates should not occur without manual involvement.

I should not have to choose between installing an unstable update or manually update all my cloudron apps, that list is quite high at this point.

On a similar note, after the update, VaultWarden showed a pre-release update was available for installation. I think I am going to have that green up-arrow there till a stable release happens.

Perhaps we could have a two tone up arrow system, where neon green was for unstable releases and green for ordinary releases. We could toggle notifications for a permutation of these.
