We have plans to make that optional, but that of course means that you wont be able to use apps which rely on that database.</p>
<p dir="auto">I would first try to contact your server provider though and ask for the reason that its not supported, maybe its just a disabled flag on their side, which could be enabled.</p>

<p dir="auto">They appear to be a very small company that limits their offerings to the number of users they can support. After the big Christmas sale, they marked most of the offers as sold out in order to be able to serve all new customers.</p>
