@DualOSWinWiz you can check if you are able to mount using simple mount command . Looks like some configuration error on the server or the remote directory being given to the client is wrong.

    @xdrakon can you try this - https://docs.cloudron.io/troubleshooting/#unbound ?

@girish When the cache is invalid, it causes a runtime error, and the error prevents the refresh button from getting enabled. I'm asking for the refresh button to immediately enable in the handler, so if there is an error in the handler form invalid data, one may still click the refresh button.

@girish said in Dynamic DNS and Mail Server Location:

@gerard that's quite brave to run a mail server with dynamic IP

@girish Yeah it's silly and unreliable 😉 But not meant for any serious usage.

    Thank you for fixing it.

I would recommend to investigate whether the same files in the app and in the backup are indeed identical.
rsync would not copy identical files all over again.
I use rsync to backup to an external harddrive - my Cloudron instance is around ~ 250 GB and all my backups (7 daily, 4 weekly, 12 monthly) going back to June 2023 occupy ~ 350 GB.
The same backups that I push via restic to Onedrive going back to June 2022 (!) occupy ~ 310 GB (restic is very good in compression and de-duplication).

Just to further narrow down the issue are all Cloudron users affected by this? If only one user is, maybe something is off with only that?

I'd like to limit app backups to 3 total for the apps i choose.

Maybe create a feature request post about it? 🙂

@dsp76 yes, apps can connect to each other with the domain name. Can you see if you can curl https://lamp.domain.com from the Web Terminal of the infiniteWP app instance?

@milzamsz this happens when you put the bucket name in the Endpoint field . Cloudflare displays the URL with the bucket name in the end. It should be like below. Remove the "/cloudron-backups" (the name of my bucket below) and put it in the bucket name like below:

@CRBear said in Mail server: IP address verification?:

Am I correct in understanding that the email server checks from which IP address a connection is established to send an email and by default, it verifies against the Spamhaus blacklist?

The mail server does not make any check for outbound email. The various checks you see in the Email Status tab are purely diagnostic. The idea is if one or more checks are failing there, most likely the email won't be delivered.

The Spamhaus is checked for inbound emails though. The DNSBL zone against which it checks is configurable at https://docs.cloudron.io/email/#dnsbl

Depending on your use case it might be worthwhile checking if just a simple "wildcard alias" (instead of catch-all) is sufficient (as described in the docs).
    See an example here: https://forum.cloudron.io/post/74184

    Interesting.
I contacted the provider and told about the problem. They wanted screenshots. After another test all works fine again.
    Thanks for your help!

@murgero I'm pretty sure you have to create a group, place each run-as app-user into that group, and then make the group own the directory. But I'm not an expert at this stuff.

Seems like there is something wrong with that installation medium maybe? Have you seen and tried https://askubuntu.com/questions/1500639/update-error-e-the-repository-cdrom-ubuntu-22-04-1-lts-jammy-jellyfish already?
