        where are you backing up to and from?

        I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

            @jdaviescoates its a sad story man because backing up makes the server not be able to do anything since its backing up

              i'm using Hetzner, your indicated speed, is really slow..
              Are you using rsync or tarball ?
              if rsync, how much parallel tasks ?

                    @mdc773 each have their own advantage/down in my experience, it depends what you have to backup : rsync first backup time will be very long, but then, since it's incremental and since you can configure the parallel job it can do, you'll have shorter overall backup time, hence less time you can't use the platform to install or manage other apps.
