I have not yet, but thank you for looking into it.

  • Changed cloudron user email—how to change in wiki.js?
    S sixfold_distract

Hello, recently I had a user lose access to the email that he initially signed up with for Cloudron. So I changed his email address in Cloudron, and that seems to have worked. However, his wiki.js is only reading the original email and did not automatically update. Apologies if I’ve missed the docs on this, but what can I do so that his email is reflected correctly in Wiki.js?

    Thanks in advance.

  • Persistent memory issues—how to reduce/remove extra features?
    S sixfold_distract

Thanks for the answers—so to be clear it’s not possible to reduce the features as their docs suggest? (Through some rb config)

To be honest the gitea instance was hacked, so that was not ideal, and I switched from gogs to gitea awhile ago and cannot exactly recall why.

  • Persistent memory issues—how to reduce/remove extra features?
    S sixfold_distract

I am using GitLab and have been inching up the memory usage over the life of the installation. Prior Git applications (gogs, gitea) were much leaner and faster and never had memory issues, but since moving to GitLab, it’s been a big problem. I’m now at 5.5 GB, but my server only has 8 GB, and for my uses, GitLab is definitely overkill.

From this GitLab docs page, there are a bunch of options, but it seems like there is some translation layer in order to enable these via Cloudron. How can I enable these features in Cloudron’s GitLab?

    Thank you in advance.

  • Link subdomain on squarespace to Cloudron: questions
    S sixfold_distract

    Hello,
I have a new domain from Squarespace that I would like to setup to use with Cloudron. For example:

    new domain: example.com

I'd like the mail to be handled in an app like SoGo at mail.example.com via Cloudron, to handle email like info@example.com.

I do not necessarily want to use asterisk subdomains to handle all subdomains via Cloudron, though I would definitely consider doing:

cloudron.example.com as the zone and mail.cloudron.example.com as the mail app.

So, scenario 1 is just a simple, case-by-case subdomain like mail.example.com or forum.example.com. Can I even do this via Cloudron?

Scenario 2 is a zone such as cloudron.example.com and *.cloudron.example.com. Is this possible/easier/etc?

Recommendations welcome. Many thanks in advance.

  • Large number of guest pings since day 1
    S sixfold_distract

Thanks to all for the info. Indeed the robots.txt has been set, and the health check does seem to be the culprit.

However I was not exactly sure how to go about setting up the block of the health check, and perhaps is it something that I should just ignore?

I also was unable to find a NodeBB doc or a Cloudron doc on filtering by user agent.

Or would the IP address be 172.18.0.1, which I found from this post?

Would there be any unintended consequences of filtering in either of those ways?

Any additional information on all of this would be greatly appreciated!

  • Large number of guest pings since day 1
    S sixfold_distract

Hello, I manage a private forum NodeBB on my Cloudron instance that requires a login to see anything at all. However, since the first day of the install, I have had a consistent number of "guest" page views (hovering around 350 per hour). It seems to very clearly be a bot, but none of the data appears to be visible when not logged in.

Is there a way to find the source of this traffic and potentially block it?

  • Cloudron's NodeBB theme + setting a default theme?
    S sixfold_distract

Hello, the cloudron forum running NodeBB looks so clean. What theme is it running by default? My NodeBB installation by default looks like it much lower contrast.

And how can I change the default NodeBB theme?
