I just hope this is the right forum .....
Kleptomania is an OCR program that allows text capture by pressing a hotkey to put the selected text onto the clipboard. It was designed for Windows versions before Win7, (last updated in 2017) but works quite usefully in my Windows10 - both 32 and 64 bits. I bought licenses-per-PC many years ago, but would like to install it in other PCs. Installing the v5 results in what should be a 40day TRIAL, but trying to USE it results in a popup window which says the program is very old and offers to update it. No updates are available and one can not even contact the publisher - I can give their URL, but am afraid that might be misunderstood by the scrutinizing algorithm, resulting in me being banned from the forum. Other OCR programs I have tested do not have the simplicity of Kleptomania. There is a free program called Capture2Text that produces the same end result, but in a much more complicated way. It is such a waste that a viable and enduring Kleptomania can no longer be installed. I'm wondering if someone can make that trial v5 viable and available again.
