@jdaviescoates Have you looked into how they do this? Does it requires elasticsearch and/or is this done via apps?

And separate apps you can install include: Github and Gitlab issue search in their integration apps Moodle course search as part of the Moodle integration app Zammad and Jira ticket search Discourse forum topic and post search
I am always cautious about nextcloud apps/plugins given how unstable they make nextcloud and also each app makes thing slower ... but maybe these will be better if they are maintained by the nextcloud core team.

Yeah, they've created:
The Open Collaboration Services API is an open, independent REST API designed for integrating with a content collaboration platform.

And this is what all these new integration apps use.
I guess it could conceivably be useful for integrating more Cloudron apps with each other in this way too?
