Anyone knows of a good place to buy good themes from? I found only one site but there's only a handful of themes and it's $99/year/theme. Ouch.

    There's
    Mabola: https://github.com/EstudioNexos/mabola
    Laclasse: https://github.com/laclasse-com/roundcube_laclasse_skin
    Melanie2 - Larry: https://github.com/messagerie-melanie2/Roundcube-Skin-Melanie2-Larry

They're ok but only the built in Elastic Theme is actively developed...

@necrevistonnezr Thanks. I came across outdated themes too. I think I'll just play around with the Elastic theme to darken it a bit.

@humptydumpty if you visit RC with that theme in say dark reader, you can save/see all the CSS modifications and more easily apply the changes you want.

I think the community would very much enjoy a dark theme for email.

I for one, would too. 😄

@robi You read my mind! Get outta my head 😁 I remember having a plugin that let me add custom css to websites locally in my browser but couldn't remember which one it was. For some reason, I had deleted dark reader from my Firefox. Thanks!

            @humptydumpty You're very welcome. 😇

I still use one called Dark Background and Light Text.

@robi Never seen it before. I'll give it a try on my work computer tomorrow.

I reinstalled Dark Reader (https://darkreader.org) and enabled the 5.0 preview as shown in this blog post (https://darkreader.org/blog/v4-9-16/).

After customizing RoundCube to my liking, I exported the custom css. Here's the pastebin if anyone is interested (https://pastebin.com/ee7zq99y). Search for "mail.yourdomain.com" and change it to your RC URL before importing.

I'm using this Firefox theme as they pair nicely: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/construction-blue-by-mr-cline/

@humptydumpty Ohh I see, you just changed the live view of Roundcube.

I was hoping you would generate a new theme which can be installed in Roundcube for all users, since none others exist.

@robi According to what I read on the RC forum, it seems it's not an easy task to have a theme compatible with all the plugins out there and keeping it up to date. I'm a bit surprised by what they said but the lack of actively supported themes out there must mean there's truth to it. It's still a bit weird why child themes haven't been made of the Elastic theme. Maybe someone more familiar with RC can chime in.

@robi I like your dark reader plugin much more. It's simpler to use and it works better too because it has different colors for links and text, as well as clicked and active links. Thanks for the recommendation!

You got me interested in taking a look at creating a child theme for RC. I doubt I'll be able to do anything more than change a few colors around since I don't know how to code that much but I was hoping for a different layout completely. I really like the layout in this theme but I can't justify spending $99/year for a theme that only I will see. https://roundcubeskins.net/portfolio/outlook

@humptydumpty thanks, I am still getting used to it.

Sometimes the darkgreen links are hard to read in a particular background.

The bright green links are definitely hard to read in the forum notification bell list as the unread ones are also bright orange.

I'm sure there's a way to tune dark reader for this.
