s3fs mounting minio bucket

I am trying to use s3fs to mount a bucket served by Minio. I can mount it as a filesystem, but I cannot see the contents and if I 'touch' a file I receive an error, but Minio creates a new bucket with that name.

Is this the correct place to seek help with this problem?
