bricked my server, had to start over. installed openvpn and backed up from an amazon s3 bucket. i think that was where my problem really started. could not login to openvpn. i have a password manager so i used old and new passwords, no luck. wish you could change the openvpn app password or some kind of management but what do i do now?

@dynimighti the openvpn app password and cloudron password are always in sync since authentication is via Cloudron LDAP internally.
You can try something like this to rule password manager issue:
-
Create a temporary password using impersonate user - https://docs.cloudron.io/user-management/#impersonate-user
-
Are you able to login to OpenVPN?
-
-
Does your username have any special characters (dot, underscore, hyphen) by any chance? I wonder if we have some bug in the openvpn app (because these characters interfere with LDAP auth).

@dynimighti Stumped... Do you think you enable remote support and drop me a mail? Support -> Enable Remote Access. Can take a look as to what is going wrong.
