bricked my server, had to start over. installed openvpn and backed up from an amazon s3 bucket. i think that was where my problem really started. could not login to openvpn. i have a password manager so i used old and new passwords, no luck. wish you could change the openvpn app password or some kind of management but what do i do now?

@dynimighti the openvpn app password and cloudron password are always in sync since authentication is via Cloudron LDAP internally.

You can try something like this to rule password manager issue:

      • Create a temporary password using impersonate user - https://docs.cloudron.io/user-management/#impersonate-user

      • Are you able to login to OpenVPN?

@girish. created an App Password for my current user, not a fix. created a superadmin and used an impersonate password, did not work. Cloudflare is proxying the @ portion of my domain, is that a problem?

Just to rule out some bits here, if you install a new instance of openvpn on that Cloudron, can you login then?

Does your username have any special characters (dot, underscore, hyphen) by any chance? I wonder if we have some bug in the openvpn app (because these characters interfere with LDAP auth).

@dynimighti Stumped... Do you think you enable remote support and drop me a mail? Support -> Enable Remote Access. Can take a look as to what is going wrong.

@girish, good day. sorry, should have said, fixed. i was using the same subdomain name as before the reinstall and for whatever reason that stopped everything from working.
