    I've set up my own instance and I'm following a couple of people.

    When I view their profile it shows a count of 0 posts and an empty feed. However if I click the link under their username it takes me to an alternate view of their profile, and I see all their previous posts.

    My 1 follower has the exact same thing happening vice versa.

    I don't understand what's happening here. Can someone explain it to me?

      @j_holtslander I think that's just how the fediverse works (the exact same thing happens on Mastodon).

      Your instance doesn't know about the posts posted before it existed.

      I think it may pull them in if you copy the URL of the posts into your search bar.

      I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

        Yeah, AFAIK, this is by design. You can only see posts from when you created the instance. You cannot see posts from the past.

        Hello! It looks like you're interested in this conversation, but you don't have an account yet.

        Getting fed up of having to scroll through the same posts each visit? When you register for an account, you'll always come back to exactly where you were before, and choose to be notified of new replies (either via email, or push notification). You'll also be able to save bookmarks and upvote posts to show your appreciation to other community members.
