Other Minecraft versions

Hello,

Cloudron always uses the latest Minecraft packages. In my case, I use the Minecraft Java Edition for my server. Is there a possibility to change this version in the file manager so that I can go to a completely different version?

@ByMynix So, what you have to do is:

• Look at the CHANGELOG in the package's repo. For example, https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/minecraft-app/-/blob/master/CHANGELOG?ref_type=heads . Note down package version. For example, package version 1.7.5 has minecraft 1.19.4

• Now, click on minecraft app in appstore. In the browser URL bar, it will show the package version. Change it to 1.7.5 .

• After installation, go to Updates section of the app and disable automatic updates . Otherwise, it will keep updating to new package version.

If you meant Bedrock, that repo is at https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/minecraft-bedrock-app and forge is at https://git.cloudron.io/cloudron/minecraft-forge-app

@girish Thanks for the answer. Very interesting that something like this also works with older app packages. So I have implemented it now and works very well. Outside of the app packages there is no way to modify the packages, except to create a Docker package myself I assume.

@ByMynix yes, you can just fork the repo and make changes and build it.
