Hello all, I am excited to try n8n to automate some of our work. I am starting here because this is a Cloudron install of n8n.
I cannot seem to get anything with local files or folders to work. I want to build some watch folder automations.
I cannot get the "local file/folder" trigger to do anything.
or the read write local files to do anything.

I am on windows and the n8n is Cloudron running on a hosted platform.

Any ideas on where to start?

    Thanks!

So, you are watching some folders on the server? Does the upstream thread https://community.n8n.io/t/local-file-trigger-node-not-triggering/18132/ help ?

@girish Thanks for that link, it confirmed the conclusion I was coming to. "local" to n8n is internal (and volume mounts) to the docker container on the server that n8n is running on. I was hoping that it could connect to the local network path when running. I am starting to understand it better now. So now I am looking at ways that it connects to NextCloud and see if we can make a go of that - but the seems to be no "triggers" for NextCloud.
