Hi, I trying to move my organisation from managing emails on CPanel to SOGo groupware. I have successfully installed SOGo on Cloudron and can create users/email accounts for all users. Can anyone help with how to migrate the inboxes into SOGo? I will appreciate any lead or direction to solve this issue.

    Regards.

So far we had a good experience with using the imapsync tool to sync full inboxes for users.

There is a work-in-progress guide how to use it against gmail at https://cloudron.io/documentation/guides/mail/ since it requires a few special attributes, maybe it is useful for you as well.

@nebulon Thanks for the assistance so far. I am having issues getting the IMAP server and port being used by SOGo. Although I understand the mail app is running on another docker container but how can the Imapsync tool use this same configuration.

The imapsync tool will work as an external client, just like any mail application like thunderbird. Basically the details about ports and connection type from https://cloudron.io/documentation/email/#accessing-cloudron-email have to used. Note that apps like sogo, which run on the localhost network on the server itself, use different ports.

@nebulon I actually didn't need to specify any port. I just referenced the subdomain "my.*" on which cloudron is installed, and it worked like magic. Thanks again for the assistance. Although, I had to install so many dependencies - libraries on my Linux server to get the imapsync library to work. Here is a link to the resolution https://github.com/imapsync/imapsync/issues/153#issuecomment-429656258

Actually, the next time, if you run any linux distribution on your pc, then I would recommend to install imapsync there and do the one-time syncing, this avoids having to install additional packages alongside of Cloudron on that server.
