    Caveat: Tiny Tiny RSS switches to app specifice passwords

    https://community.tt-rss.org/t/upcoming-authentication-changes-in-trunk/2850:

    Some changes are coming regarding API and TOTP.

    • I’m planning to implement app-specific passwords, for the time being used only for API clients (i.e. android/ios apps and whatever else);
    • Unless you’re using OTP, you will be able to continue using your regular password in the client application or create an app-specific one, both would work;
    • If you’re using OTP, your regular password will not be accepted. You will need to create an app-specific password[1] to continue using your API client application.
      Go to Preferences → Authentication → App passwords

      Is this related to the LDAP plugin we use in the package? It doesn't seem so.

        This is really good improvement! I actually want to have app specific passwords at the cloudron level. This is especially useful for apps that have a mobile app. I don't feel comfortable often trusting the master cloudron password with 3rd party mobile apps.
