This app does not have any authentication and would be publicly accessible. Can this support the use of the proxyAuth addon to put it behind the common cloudron authentication gateway?

@esawtooth I guess what's required is a way to auth with a token? If we put the new proxyAuth, then one has to create a cloudron user and then create a dummy password etc. Would an API token be enough?

@girish Yes, that'd work! I just think there should be some way to prevent a huge flood of requests hitting that app because some 3rd party found an open endpoint and decided to (ab)use it. The token strikes to me to be a better solution than the auth gateway too, since then it is easier for us to hit the endpoint as well from a script.

I have added a way to set an access token now - https://docs.cloudron.io/apps/geoip/#access-token
