YouZimIt is a tool to compress and archive a website in a readable form, making it available offline for those who may have connectivity or security concerns. A .zim file is produced and this can be browsed using e.g. Kiwix.

    https://youzim.it

The service makes use of Browsertrix Crawler, which has also been requested.

I have reached out to the maintainer and hopefully they will join this thread here. They are also responsible for looking after the Kiwix project. (This incredible project has created zim files for e.g. Wikipedia and AskUbuntu, amongst other sites.)

The links below are a rabbit hole if you are interested in archiving:

I would like to bump this proposal.
Kiwix is an excellent resource for offline archiving. It has had some lovely updates recently making it a lot prettier. In disasters / zombie apocalypse scenarios, where there is no or an overloaded internet, local repos of knowledge can be very useful.
zimit helps convert a website into a compressed, offline archive. It is designed to be run in a docker.

There is a front-end for Zimit here, which might be nice to include:

Apparently, there is also a backend too, to execute tasks:

Lets MAGA (Make Archiving Great Again) by supporting Zimit on Cloudron!

Zimit has just had a major update. The new architecture is much more powerful and doesn't require service workers (which helps people on desktop / iOS).
