SOLUTION: Increase memory resources allocated to Nextcloud. Go into the application on Cloudron through the cog at the top right, in Resources, increase memory limit. 1.2 GB worked on this occasion.

Thanks everybody! The feedback from the Cloudron application and our community here was very clear and helpful.

There is no explanation in the NextCloud log which says why, only that it happened again and again. It didn`t used to do this.

Checking the Cloudrons memory for the past few days, it doesn`t look like it was short of memory.

It might have had something to do with it synchronizing calendars with Thunderbird. That is the only thing which I think has changed.

@LoudLemur How much memory have you give nextcloud - https://docs.cloudron.io/apps/#memory-limit ?

Are you seeing error messages/notifications that it was a OOM issue?

@girish It was the default allowance. I have increased it to 1GB to see how that helps.

          Not seeing any other notification.

Generally most apps cannot run on the basic memory allowance in my experience. Next cloud needs 1 for a few users and with a lot of users I've gone up to 4.

@derin mine is 8GB good enough for not stress about it. I think it better go higher so we don't had to worry about it much but always make sure you had enough:)
