pixelfed_directory.png Hi, I want to ask about Pixelfed updates. How regular are they? The newer version should include a Directory tab in the admin interface where you can set the instance to appear on the https://pixelfed.org/servers page It would make it much easier for people to find the server. Thank you very much for the information

Pixelfed is actually already the latest released version and it was released the same day as it came out on 5 Oct

You must be seeing preview featured that are not yet released

@jdaviescoates Yes I know when the Cloudron update came out, but I posted in the Matrix group and this is what the developer replied to me.

Actually,  Pixelfeds version number doesn't reflect that if it's the latest version or not .. New fixes and features are being added every day
          And we're updating everyday too

Otherwise, I wouldn't be here asking

@archos One obvious answer - not everyday.

@archos I think the automated system only picks up when there's a 'release' that dansup makes.

@archos ah, well, would've helped if you'd shared that info in the first place 🙂 and if that is the case perhaps Pixelfed should release releases more often, because their most recent published release as per their github releases page was back on 5 Oct.

Afaik in most cases Cloudron generally only update when a new upstream release is released.

I think generally the only exception to this is when upstream don't ever actually publish any numbered releases themselves.

Not sure why Pixelfed is confusingly doing both things.

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

Ok thanks for the information, I misunderstood. Sorry for the unnecessary question.
