      The only reason why we haven't ditched our Zoom account at work is because of this issue with Jitsi: In videochats among not a lot of people (say 4-5 ppl) occasionally the video of some or all of the participants goes black. Sometimes it goes back, sometimes it doesn't.

      We've tried with different browsers and I even tried adding up more RAM to the container, but it's the same.

      Anyone using jitsi with the same issue? I remember reading somewhere about this (I couldn't find the link) and it seems that the reason is the bandwidth management that jitsi does. (inconsistently)

        Hi @chetbaker, I have the same issue and see it on other jitsi cloudron instances too.

          Yes, this happens all the time. It's normally Jitsi itself deciding there isn't enough bandwidth for video to work properly and automatically turning the video off in order to maintain good audio.

          I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

            @jdaviescoates
            For me, it happens nearly standard in meetings. When we switch over to a non Cloudron hosted Jitsi, the video is not automatically being turned off..

              @BetaBreak might be good to compare the logs from both for a session to see the difference and what is missing.

                  Given that Jitsi on Cloudron can't be maintained for the time being I'd expect those kind of issues to not be solved (I also experienced that problem). We do need an alternative.
