@micmc @timconsidine maybe I misunderstood the question here. To be clear, SeoSamba/SeoToaster POS works with Stripe as a processor. This means that as a merchant your proceeds will go to your Stripe account. Stripe however allows for hundreds of different payment methods for your clients to use online, including paypal: https://stripe.com/payments/payment-methods AND in addition, we also offer dozens of other payment gateways that you can combine with, including again a direct PayPal connection, on your website. When it comes to the POS itself, in presence payments will require a valid debit/credit card (including debit card issued by Paypal to their customers) or cash. Please let me know if it makes sense or something remains unclear.

@robi Well, we use Stripe in the back/end processing for the in-person operations and have no plans to support PP for the POS operations at this juncture. Now, you could use any of the other gateways in place, or in conjunction with Stripe for the web store. That already works. The list of payment gateways, that includes Paypal which ships also with the core, can be found here: https://www.seotoaster.com/website-plugins-marketplace.html. For the hardware you can use either the phone to take contactless payment or one of the basic Stripe readers like https://stripe.com/terminal/m2 if you use an Ipad or Android tablet. The v3.12.0 package supporting the POS will be released next week and the team is preparing the Cloudtron version of that package for you as I'm writing these words.

Also, we have just released a major update, SeoToaster on top of being a CMS/CART/CRM with possibility for ERP extension, now also offers a full-fledged tablet and phone ready Point of Sale system. It's basically like Shopify, just better with integrated barcode scanner, tap to pay, ai product description intake and competition price check, multishop support with continuous barcode scanning checkout mode, and on-the-road quick sale support. Completely free to use in 2026.

@humptydumpty - Well in fact, when you want to show variation, you would do this using CSS with a graphic file that has a stripe of the product variations, and position the focus based on the chosen option to show the correct product color for instance. We have not looked at the packaging as a Cloudron app. The app is available on other auto-installers, so I don't see why it would not be packageable as a Cloudron app. I'm happy to look into it, where should I start?

I know it can be a bit confusing. In addition to the web presence/sales automation front-end SeoToaster Ultimate, there's a cloud marketing hub component that we call the SeoSamba Marketing Operating System - MOS.

MOS combines analytics, social marketing , review, citation management, call tracking, SEO reporting, and more to any digital asset type, it can only execute on-site SEO tasks (Meta alignment, content writing, URL optimization with automated 301, deep-linking, interaction with Google console...) from a central location, as well AI-driven blogging to SeoToaster Ultimate and WordPress sites.

We have a few specialized editions too, one has to do with real estate with IDX integrated. Another is in the memorial business ERP, another one is for restaurants with a kitchen orders intake/delivery, one is for franchise businesses and we have more coming..

@privsec - well, we removed about 40 shortcomings of WP that usually requires plug-ins to patch. That was basically the original idea, but yes other needs had to be addressed. But out of the default install you have a solid CMS, a very capable Shopping cart in there with digital signature support, recurring payments, deposit payments, ability to sell digital docs, you also have a free 250 contacts CRM bolted on with sales automation, pipeline management - You can grant access to the Social and CRM mobile apps in 1 click https://help.seosamba.com/crm-mobile-application.html and then download the apps from that screen - It's pretty good value for any business needing to get digital.
