  • Can't get federation to work
    H Hypocrisy

    Hello all,

I'm sitting on a installation with both element and synapse/matrix on the same server.

The matrix-server is installed on matrix.domain.com and the element-server is installed on element.domain.com

What should I do to get federation (public chatrooms in element to start with) to work?

I have tried different variants. Like under domain&certs adding matrix.domain.com:443 as the matrix server location. I have also added domain.com:443.

Domain.com is placed elsewhere but has a let's encrypt certificate on it (using .well-known). Hosted for now a cPanel server.

    Thanks for all your advice!

  • Multiple servers on a paid license
    H Hypocrisy

    Hello,

(I wrote a post here earlier, but not sure it got up there )

In any case, is it possible to have a paid license and Cloudron running on separate servers on the same license?

I have that Girish posted about version 8 that will support multiple installments with a central cloudron with app installs on remote/satellite servers.

But how far away is this? Am I able to solve my use case as of now?

Thanks for all your good work! 🙂

  • Is it possible to use the same paid license on more than 1 server?
    H Hypocrisy

    Hello there,

Checking out Cloudron and seeing that you can't (as of yet as I gather it) setup satellite servers from a "central hub" using cloudron.

I now wonder if it is possible to have a paid license and use several servers to install software on - or do I need to purchase 1 license per server? (in my case it would most likely be a limited usage of 1-5 servers)

Thanks for all your great work! 🙂
