Hi @james.
So if I recreate the same folder structure on the VM, as it is on the original system, the restore should work? Did I get that right?
I'll try my best to remember adding the error messages as text in the future.
Thanks.
Hi @james
I just re-run the entire setup of Linux, installed and restored Cloudron by using the exact folder structure as on the live system.
I confirm that the restore (so far I testet 3 apps, the others are still restoring) was successful.
So, yes, you can mark the topic as resolved.
Thanks again!
Hi.
I wanted to test my backups, by restoring Cloudron on a new, local VM.

So the questions I have are:
Can anybody tell me if I'm missing something?
Thanks
Hi.
I keep on changing the SMTP information under settings --> SMTP by indicating the setting of my external mail server but after a while (today it was some hours) the settings reset to the original setting, overwriting my data.
Can somebody tell me why this is happening and how I can resolve this?
Thanks in advance.
Thanks a lot.
It works!
@girish. Hi, I knwo this case is cloesed and a bit old but I have a related question.
I use the funciton for the dynamic DNS update and it works fine for the "main" domain, but for my apps, I created manually A-type entries, as mentioned in a documentation and the IP addresses of the apps are not being updated.
Is there something I'm missing or that I can do differently?
Thanks in advance.
Bob
Thank you.
