I figured that putting in a VPN might beef up security by encrypting the traffic to and from Cloudron servers. My bad if I've got it wrong; I'm still new to this stuff.

What are your thoughts on the necessity of installing a VPN to protect traffic from Cloudron servers? Are there alternative methods you would recommend for ensuring data security?

I'm mainly on Signal, but I occasionally use Facebook Messenger.

I agree with your perspective on this. The whole idea of having control over your certificates and sensitive data is a big deal for me too. Wix and similar services might offer convenience, but there's a certain level of risk when they manage everything, especially considering potential interception by third-party providers.
