    Hello

I want to use Nextcloud for sharing files. Could I install Sophos Anti-Virus or another anti-virus for real-time scanning? Or does anyone have other solutions to protect against virus and malware files?

    Regards,
    Hak

Currently, the nextcloud package does not have a virus scanner

Maybe this works with Nextcloud and ClamAv....
https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/12551/humhub-virus-scanner-module-compatibility#:~:text=With this working%2C i think it would also work for other apps like Nextcloud%2C i guess%3Fld also work for other apps like Nextcloud%2C i guess%3F

Not tested with Nextcloud, but maybe it's worth trying?

I remember something like a ClamAv plugin?
        https://github.com/nextcloud/files_antivirus?tab=readme-ov-file
Install that and let it run with the ClamAv in a separate VM😉

Lets not limit that to certain apps, having a system wide (or at least covering the data directories) AV which will use Cloudron notifications would be nice (initial request https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/2090/clamav-installation-that-scans-the-local-storage-for-malware-and-notifies-the-admin)

Running mail-server and nextcloud on cloudron. Clamav would be a fine feature. What's the status for this request?
