    Hello,

I have the following problem, which unfortunately cannot be solved.
I installed a fresh Ubuntu 22.04 LTS minimal. Steps followed according to installation instructions. Then this error comes.

    Why is that?

    Init script failed.
    Log:
    Errors occurred while editing:
    resolvconf
needrestart is being skipped since dpkg has failed
    E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1)

      minimal

      This is likely your issue.

Are you on Netcup? Their version of Ubuntu Minimal doesn't support Cloudron, but you can install the full version of Ubuntu and then install Cloudron and it'll work, so long as you've got one of their RS Root Servers (their VPS vServers don't support Cloudron 7.6 because they don't have AVX)

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

        Hello,

        Thanks for the information.

Yes, I have the minimal installed on NetCup and yes, it is a root server, not a VPS.

What's the best way to do this since I have a full installation of Ubuntu 22.04?

@cHAp first you have to attach their Ubuntu DVD image to the server, and then you use their VNC screen via the Netcup Server Control Panel (far right hand top part of the panel) to install it

It's not as simple as it should be. Personally I just decided to give up on using Netcup and move back to Hetzner.

Did I understand correctly, that cloudron-setup is failing and that the error you posted is from /var/log/cloudron-setup.log ? What's the log lines before the error ? See if you can fix those errors manually and run cloudron-setup --redo .

It's not me this time, but I've hit this before yes cloudron-setup does not work at all on Netcup VPS vServers because they are running some custom minimized version of Ubuntu.

Netcup said on Twitter they would look into it here https://twitter.com/netcup/status/1711394283347960098 but presumably they haven't fixed it.
