        @adison It's not off-topic, it's about Cloudron 🙂

        BTW, it's cool that you're going to such efforts to write about Cloudron, but all your jokes make it sound much more complex than it really is.

        I don't know anything about ports, firewalls, etc but I can very easily install Cloudron.

        All you have to do is:

        1. If you don't already have them, create a ssh public/ private key pair (not even strictly necessary, but highly recommend)

        2. Buy a VPS (and be sure to add your ssh public key as you do so. With most good providers this will mean they won't bother setting up a root password and it'll only be possible to ssh in, which is much more secure).

        3. ssh into your new VPS and run the Cloudron install commands.

        I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner

          @jdaviescoates o.
          for the jokes, they're just kind of querks. i like joking around sometimes. also i used AWS for the example, though i should correct really any VPS can be used. i'll actually do that in the comment section ethat way i don't need to edit the actual post.

            its kinda1of those, i knew that, but forgot to put it in the post. o yeah and as for firewalls, i usually have that for people who use their home networks as the source of server. i mean, having port443 opened, along with port 22 (if security configurations are week) easily exposes you to the risk of hacking. the only reason i don't really mention that in cloud instructions is because tipically, AWS's infrastructure is more, how do you say it, i guess, secure, when it comes to ports and security configurations. and it'll definitely expose you to vulns if you run it in something like vulnhub.

              also i actually have a category titled, cloudron, just in case i write more about them. it took about 2hours to make the post. not only does it take time to get links and write them, but sense my screen reader can be a giant fart at times, i offen get, uh, qwerky, and sometimes not acurate, post info in order to make sure my posts are formatted correctly. its rather time consuming. i mean, sure, writing and gathering resources is consuming enough, but adding the chary on top (screen readers) it becomes more harder sense you have to make sure things are formatted propperly. i'd have to guess not many people get this gobbily goo i'm saying, sense not many people i think are blind or have experience with SR's (correct me if i'm wrong) but it becomes time consuming, and sometimes it makes me forget i have to put something in the posts.

                      @girish thanks. i plan to do more talks about cloudron, mainly tutorials. my next tutorial i think is gonna be how to use cloudron as sso for cloudflare access authentication. have'nt decided indefinitely yet. its either gonna be that, or i might start simple in user configuration and stuf like that.
