Is it possible to set CNAMES in DNS and set Lets Encrypt SAN Certificates?

Background: I use one instance of e.g. Matomo for 2 different domains, but want the script to be 1st party. Thats why the matomo instance need to be available under two domains and deliver a certificate, which contains both domains.

    E.g.

    • Matomo runs at a.domain1.com
    • CNAME a.domain2.com points at a.domain1.com
    • Matomo script contains a.domain1.com references for domain1.com
    • Matomo script contains a.domain2.com references for domain2.com

Matomo will work the same, when called via the two different domains correctly. For visiting domain1.com and domain2.com scripts will be loaded from one instance, but appear to be loaded from the the corresponding TLS. Result: cookies will be first party and server is available with under both LE SSL wildcard certificates.

If that works. Or is it a feature request?

(Ask me about B2B marketing automation & low code business solutions, if thats interesting for you.)

Yes, looks like you are asking for a multi-tenant setup. See https://forum.cloudron.io/topic/9258/request-for-change-rfc

I think you may want to look into the alias feature, if I understand correctly https://docs.cloudron.io/apps/#aliases
