Solved entered Cloudron.io email incorrect
Just set up cloudron.io on my own server, and when I did I accidentally entered an incorrect email.
How do I reset this email address?
Is it possible that the reason I am getting insecure website warnings from my browser is because this email is incorrect?
I am new and learning, but looking forward to it!
I was able to log into the account with the incorrect email address and password. I did not see any way of changing the email address, so I deleted the cloudron trial subscription and then deleted the account. I then tried to create another trial account and it give me the following ( copied below.) I also tried creating with another email address and I got the same result.
@seeker The email associated with a existing Cloudron.io account cannot be changed. If you want to change the account, follow the instructions here - https://cloudron.io/documentation/appstore/#changing-app-store-account
OK, the way to reproduce this issue is:
- Create cloudron and create cloudron.io account
- Go to cloudron.io and delete the account
- Cloudron shows login screen in App Store view. But gets into a state where it does not allow user to re-login with the same account as before. Instead it says 'wrong cloudron.io account'.
Workaround: SSH and run the following command
mysql -uroot -ppassword -e "DELETE FROM box.settings WHERE name='appstore_config';"

By now, is it possible to change my e-mail associated to the cloudron.io account? I'm moving away from GMail and might not have access to the current e-mail account in the future.
Or is it possible to retain the current subscription / setup when creating a new account?

@necrevistonnezr it is possible to change the cloudron.io account email, but only by us, since we haven't added the ui bits for that. Just drop an email at email@example.com with your current email and the one you want to have it changed to and we will take care of that.
