Currently, Nextcloud Talk supports e2e for desktop clients but not mobile. Adding e2e support in Talk would not block people on mobile devices participating, but if they did so, the encryption for the desktop users during the teleconference would be lost.
Nextcloud Hub 26 Winter, released February 2026, added browser-based end-to-end encryption AlternativeTo -- so the web story is improving. Mobile support is still catching up. (Probably best to leave it off until mobile support lands.)
