Postmill - Link aggregator (reddit like)
-
Postmill is a link aggregator that you can install on your own server. Tired of letting companies mine your data and make profit from your posts? This is a ready-to-use solution to bootstrap your community, including all the features that you've come to expect.
Basically a board like reddit, but selfhosted.
Example(and main deployment): https://raddle.me/The software is actively developed.
Gitlab: https://gitlab.com/postmill
Docker: https://gitlab.com/postmill/Postmill/-/wikis/docker -

@ruihildt I like this one better (looks cleaner)

In the category there’s Prismo and Lemmy as well.
Both ActivityPub federated. A federated model for Reddit-like boards are interesting, as it brings the ability to selfhost specific subboards you’re interested in hosting while still be part of one big network of boards.
This is why I’d vote for a federation-friendly software: writing clones of popular services isn’t what’s hard anymore, amassing the network of users is.
