@toxicdorito When you do telnet my.domain.com 222 from your PC does it connect? If not, it's most likely a firewall issue. Is the FTP service running under Services ? Can you try restarting it?

The issue here was that the SFTP server re-uses the host keys. In this server, the host keys had a password and thus the SFTP server now starting up because it couldn't use the host keys.

    To fix, re-generate the keys:

    # mv ssh_host_rsa_key* /root # in case you want to keep these for some reason
    # ssh-keygen -t rsa -f /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key
    Generating public/private rsa key pair.
Enter passphrase (empty for no passphrase):
    Enter same passphrase again:
Your identification has been saved in /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key.
Your public key has been saved in /etc/ssh/ssh_host_rsa_key.pub.

    (don't provide a passphrase!)
