There is quite some hope with the new email builder https://github.com/Webmecanik/plugin-grapesjs-builder/ I hope we can have a safe way to bring this into the mautic cloudron package because this is going to be really key for moving little to smal & medium organisation to run away from mailchimp !

I have previous used the new email builder on Mautic 2x with success but now I'm trying to have this running on the current cloudron package and following the instruction as I already did in the past does not work with our package version at least.

Could we have the new email builder built-in the cloudron package ?

edit : I have checked other mautic instances I run (the one using grapejs new email builder from 2.x now on mautic 3 cloudron package) and the plugin work just fine so now I'm even more curious on why I cannot get it to work on Mautic 3x cloudron package.

Anyone already using the grapejs plugin for mautic in production ?

As often asking the right question push the good answers to arise :

the plugin directory NEED to be called : GrapesJsBuilderBundle
          so when you wget https://github.com/Webmecanik/plugin-grapesjs-builder/archive/mautic3x.zip
make sure it has the correct name.

I'm not sure how to clear the cache on Mautic but if you restart the app on cloudron it does the job
and then the GrapeJS plugin appear just fine in the plugin list :
          122f4abf-5244-4b36-b7f9-08549223088f-image.png

          you can then activate it
          d4fb9916-fb7c-460d-a6ec-7bd63ca93c9c-image.png

          And voila !

edit 2 : how to clear the cache on Mautic 3 ?
          php app/console cache:clear in the /app/code directory

edit 3 : back to strange lands, it seems the plugin is visible, activated, I don't see any log errors but I can't see the MJML/GrapeJS editor interface (like I see on my other Mautic instance) I'm stuck with the good old Mautic editing interface I have no idea where to go from there, I'll keep digging !

@rmdes Nice work - keep going! The current builder is woeful. Be good to see this in the general rollout because the page/email builder is the weakest link i an otherwise nice app.

Yeah, the email builder doesn't work well for me either. So, I use https://beefree.io/ and copy/paste that output into mautic.

Guys don't ask me why/how, but beside restarting Mautic a bunch of times and actually cleaned the cache with php bin/console cache:clear, I now see the new email builder

@rmdes Awesome - definitely want this, been working in Mautic and EspoCRM all weekend trying to work out which one should be doing what for our outbound comms.

https://stripo.email also integrates with Elastic Email - just experimenting with this now. I digress though.

@girish what are the odds of this grapesjs plugin getting into the official package?

Even if this plugin isn't fully official and released the actual experience with MJML is just 100 times better than the default Mautic editor, you can feel there are still some quirks with the image uploading, but the usability and experience is just better !

@rmdes said in New Email Builder:

As in it's built in be default?
Or just works fine when installing the plugin?

I use Cloudron with Gandi & Hetzner
