I'm very familiar with hacker spaces. One of the first in the world was here, called the Super Happy Dev House, later Hacker Dojo, decades ago.

People sometimes refer to Third spaces, too, which basically means the same thing.

@jdaviescoates Though fablabs are a nice thing I actually came across it looking for room booking systems, which happens to be a feature in this software. So although it's written with fablabs in mind I imagine it can be repurposed for managing various kinds of collective spaces.
