Has anyone looked into this yet? I live in an area that can benefit from Starlink, might even get it.
What does everyone else think?

While I'm not in an area where it makes sense for me to use Starlink, I kind of wish I was just so I could justify trying it

For a perspective, here's a snipped from someone who just ordered the service:
I got a email from Starlink tonight letting me know that they have opened up a small number of beta slots in the area of the family cabin.
So I hurriedly reconfirmed my intended service address, and it allowed me to sign up for the service and deliver the HW to my house here in SFBA. They do state that once you sign up - you CANNOT change the service address. (I suspect that is so folks don't trade slots and for capacity management during this beta period)*
So I plunked down just less than $600 for the dish/cable/wifi router package and it's expected to arrive anywhere in the next 2-4 weeks due to existing shipping backlog. That's fine since the cabin is under several feet of snow at the moment (and more expected this weekend).
But now the planning starts - roof or pole mount - how to get the coax into the building and other fun planning bits.

This is only for the beta. Once the service opens up completely they plan to allow complete-mobility.

@robi everything you referenced to the install lol worked for ATT installing U-verse and I've seen all types of IW - single family homes, multi dwelling unit, duplex, from band new homes with ethernet to every jack an a nice patch panel to 100+ year old Victorians with no cat5 and where you cant drill anywhere lol I understand Star Links hands off approach could be good for local techs but yeah the complexities of install a new connection into an existing home network is not always as simple as: "run the line and connect it"
