Support "standard" Cloudron login screen with LDAP creds?
-
This is part 2 of the other first usage topic I opened.
When I installed it on my server I noticed: when I tried to login with my LDAP username it didn't work. (I know the login field said email address, I tried my LDAP username anyway. Users, eh? ) I had to create an account and then login with an email address.
I know this app has just been released. Will it be possible to login with Cloudron LDAP user creds?
Thanks for releasing this app.

@ei8fdb actually this app currently has no user integration with Cloudron. I am not sure if there are any plans or already something available upstream. Maybe @bram could explain the situation there. We can also see if we can contribute such an integration or maybe sponsor it. All I found so far is https://gitlab.com/bramw/baserow/-/issues/194

I had assumed this was the case. In my mind I was expecting it might be possible to create a/use the login screen similar to other apps which have no user login screen, e.g. Transmission? (I remember there was a discussion about creating a template login page for such apps.)
Obviously I don't know the technical requirements.

Proxy auth only makes sense if the app itself has no idea about users and user management. This is not the case with baserow, which does have users.
Ah, then my mistake. Disregard my previous comment!
It would be nice if Baserow supported login with a username or an email address.

the need for upstream LDAP support.
Yup, understood. Just to let you know, LDAP has already been requested.
