How would I go about restoring access to nc? Is there a way to disable all user-installed apps or do I need to just start over?
-
I'll do a little bit more experimenting and report back, I just noticed that a plugin I installed has reviews saying that it bricked people's NC installs.
-
It's working, I saw a warning in the docs about connecting external block storage to NC. Is there an issue with object storage?
-
There is not a lot of information in this thread what was/is not working to give a good answer. Regarding object storage, please note there are big differences between storage types and thus for what use-cases they are better suited (object storage tends to be the cheaper one, but also the most limited). If you are interested in the differences there is some solid description at https://cloud.google.com/blog/topics/developers-practitioners/map-storage-options-google-cloud

It's been said in this forum and the Nextcloud forums: Use plugins as little as possible. It just doesn't work reliably, in particular with 3rd party plugins.
I used to love it when systems allowed modifications (like Firefox, Nextcloud etc.) - now I avoid it like the plague, because such mods are suddenly no longer supported or break the system. Either a system offers more or less everything you need out of the box, or I don't want to use it in the first place.

The weird part of this whole saga is that Nextcloud seems to run normally and then randomly crash after either an auto backup was run or after it gets updated. Before I found CLoudron I used Nextcloud in its own Linode instance and had no issues.

Just restored it from a backup and it's working so far. I'll post again if crashes again.
-
@SamGreenwood What do you see in the nextcloud logs?

Never had such issue. What apps / plugins are activated in Nextcloud?

@SamGreenwood in the app screen:

@necrevistonnezr The screenshot I sent is what I get when I click there. I restored from the working backup again and so far it's working.

Here's a link to it on Pastebin

I'm having the same issue again. I spun up another instance of NC on my server (this one I won't install any apps on) to see if I keep having this problem and I'll report back.

Jitsi is now doing the same thing

As @nebulon said before: A little information would help, like
- Hoster
- Domain / DNS provider
- Ubuntu Version
etc etc
