TLDR: Noco buggy af and wondering if it's just me. Yours running smooth?

Error code: 400 (can't remember the rest as I'm seeing red rn.)
      Browser: Firefox 101.0
      Package version: 1.2.2

      RANT (sorry!)
I created a new project and table then added some fields. The default column type is "single line text" but if you try to change it to "numbers" after it's been created, you get an error (note that no data entries have been made yet - blank page). I had to delete that column and select "numbers" instead. If you enter number with a decimal (say, 2.5) you get an error. So you delete that column again and stick to the default "single line text". While I'm entering the data into the fields, the entire browser starts flashing white/black boxes. Refreshing the page does nothing but CTRL+W closes the Noco page and flashing is gone. CTRL+SHIFT+T and Noco's working fine again. I finish that table and wanted to work on a new project and that's when all the work that I entered didn't save at all.

P.S. I know I should post this upstream but I'm not looking to fix it if it's broken for everyone else on here. If that's the case, I'll just stick to Baserow.

@humptydumpty yes, worthwhile reporting such issues upstream.

@humptydumpty yup unfortunately I have the same experience. Wanted to try it out because I would like to use Kanban which baserow won't let me but I'm barely getting csv imported and lots of errors. Unfortunately that means I can't use it in a production environment…

@andreasdueren it's working "OK" enough for me in a production setting since I last posted about it. I still see error messages pop up when doing certain things but it's not affecting my work afaik. I stuck with Wekan as my main kanban board though. It's ugly but 100% reliable and the N8N integration makes it my top choice (wekan vs vikunja vs noco). What "breaking" issues are you experiencing?

Lots of errors left and right during import, edit and practically every task. Especially importing has been frustrating. It took me over an hour to get a stupid csv with 500 rows imported with me having to try all kinds of workarounds like importing exporting it through baserow and airtable…

@andreasdueren I had to go through some manual hoops to get the imports to play nice. What I had to do was:

                • Create a new sheet with the proper column types to match your existing sheet.
                • Set up the values for formulas, single/multi-select, or other multi-option column types.
                • Import your CSV into this newly created sheet and make sure the source / destination columns mapping are correct.

If you still hit an error where the CSV won't import, you can download a copy of the newly created sheet (CSV) and manually copy over the data and then try re-uploading it.

                =====Some Notes=====

                • Single/Multi Select column types display the value with no formatting (no "tag" color/background) but you can fix that by editing the column "type" and hitting SAVE.
                • Formulas created in Baserow did not work in Noco. Manual re-creation is needed here. This might have been fixed. I haven't imported sheets since I migrated from Baserow a while back.

@humptydumpty Thanks I'll try these. Do you have any experience publishing noco items on a frontend like an online-store or else?

@andreasdueren My use-case is pretty simple, basically an online spreadsheet 🙂
